Solidarity Trip to Togo!

In collaboration with Éduc. Enfance internationale and Écho de la jeunesse Togo (ECHOJET), Cyclo Nord-Sud offers you the possibility to experience a solidarity trip to Togo, the best way to fully seize how our bikes are making a difference internationally!

No trips are planned until 2020. However, if you are a group or an organization interested in participating in such an experience please communicate with us to evaluate collaboration possibilities! A minimum of 5 adults is required to compose a group. Stays can be of various length at your discretion.

The solidarity trip consists in assisting ECHOJET’s team in two aspects:
-Making bikes accessible by participating in training, maintenance and distribution in both schools and groups of women farmers;
-Sensitizing local populations on the health and environmental benefits of using bicycles and promoting a social economy. French tutoring is also an important part of the trip.

Work takes place either during morning or afternoon of the weekdays, depending on the agreement made with the schools and local women groups. Touristic visits (natural parks, waterfalls, beaches, …) are organized for the weekend and some night surprises will be planned. A detailed schedule is made available to participants before their departure.

Estimated costs of a 21 day trip : $3475 (varies between $3400 and $3600 depending on flight prices). A charity donation receipt will be handed by Cyclo Nord-Sud for the total amount.

Details:
Plane tickets and travel/luggage insurance: approximately $2000 (varies upon time of year)

This solidarity trip is part of the MECANO project launched in Lomé in 2013 by ECHOJET and Cyclo Nord-Sud. ECHOJET has been receiving people for years and has the experience, resources and logistics in place for a safe and professional environment.

This program was established after our Togolese partner expressed its need for it. All costs are to cover logistic and human resources expanses. Cyclo Nord-Sud, Éduc Enfance International and ECHOJET are non-profit and socially oriented organizations.
